The Severed Marionette

Views (76) Tragedy Created on 6-1-08 Flag
Cast out all alone
I make the choices on my own
Freedom is not like how I was told
The world is dark, the people are cold
Severance has swept though me like a disaster
Where is my leader, my creator, my master?

You entered and left me like a fever
You severed my life lines like a cleaver
You cut all my ties with that bayonet
Now I’m just a Severed Marionette

I gave you control
Your hand replaced a tainted soul
Strings pulled the mind and heart
Will filled what was hollow and dark
Arms and legs to your words bound
Once cut, flailing and falling to the ground

You entered and left me like a fever
You severed my life lines like a cleaver
You cut all my ties with that bayonet
Now I’m just a Severed Marionette

Kidojidoari I like your rhymes. :D I never thought of using "bayonet" and "marionette" together like that. I really like this~ :] Not shallow (because saying that it's deep is said too much).

Smarties4 amazing... very deep (I know this sounds very cliche, but it's true - the master can be taken to be a mentor, a friend...anything or anyone really) Fantastically written :)
