So many pictures burned in an effort to put our past in the dark.
So many pictures of us together, hard to believe were now apart.
So many memories of pleasure and pain torched and laid to waste.
So many memories with out any mementos save the burnt taste.

Do we even remember the problems we tried to cage?
Do we even know what made us fight in blind rage?
Will screaming and fighting help to make things right?
Will burying our past really help us to see the lost light?

Should we swallow our pride and try this once again,
Or should we just let this one argument be our end?
Can we go on living knowing that we didn’t even try?
That all we ever did was argue and when it ended cry.
