Shadow Aspect

People naively believe whatever their eyes see.
People presume others are what they appear to be.
People fall for this façade and don't see the real me.

They laugh and play oblivious to the swelling tide.
They no nothing of the beasts that I struggle to hide.
They don't know I have two other heads inside.

Ones anger and loathing is without any control.
With each passing day I lose to it more of my soul.
But I struggle to tame it despite this frightening toll.

One's twisted lust is as potent as the others hate.
It tries repeatedly to entice me, spreading its viral taint.
It whispers sin in my ears testing my failing restraint.

With one head always trying to take over my brain.
With one head wishing myself and others pain.
The two heads together make it hard to remain sane.

So I patiently and long-sufferingly await my death day.
When their lust and loathing will finally go away.
When emotions will leave and equilibrium will stay.
