I woke into a world of rot and decay
All my close friends had run away
In seclusion I mourn for my broken heart
Left alone and in this impenetrable dark
In a land cloaked forever in the darkest night
No glimmer of hope or even the faintest light
Feeling deserted and betrayed
Raving mad and now completely insane
Nothing to lose but my life to regain
Until then I endure in this inferno of pain
