A singular mind, good but untrue
Now lies in pieces, divided in two.
One side is dark on the outside
yet within confused and afraid.
The other invades his mind
like a condemning parade.
One does the evil crimes.
for which the other is blamed.
Ones embraces vile thoughts
and the other feels ashamed.

When the division occured
truth and lie got left behind.
The painful fission ripped both
away from my estranged mind.
Alienation was short lived
fusion was quick to come.
One side was bathed in true
the other was concealed in lie.
The darkness of the later struggles
to blot out the light of its predecessor.
Driven by fear that others will discover:
Their one and the same.
