Cold War

knowledge like a plauge
contagoues/spreading
mouth to mouth
numbing the scholars
twisting the learned
now my knowledge
has corrupted you

taint seeped in
slowly/deadly like decay
its eroding our friendship
I watched with
blind eyes/idle hands
as you unraveled our world

overtime a void 
of unspoken words
of unexpressed feelings
grew between us
on opposing sides

locked in cold war 
cooperation is the key
trapped in stalemate 
friendship will release

at first I tried
to delay this battle
I forced myself
into a mold
became what you
wanted me to be

but

you wouldnt
allow a compromise
no substitute for
your so called "purity"
in your greed
you denied my need
my life was ripped in two

now I ask
for an alliance
against the true enemy
your unasked question
your hidden desire
do you fear my anwser?

if it is me you want gone
speak your painful wish
I will endure that knowledge
to bring you peace
