Love's Pain

Standing within this darkness,
Enshrouded in my emotions.
Wondering how so many people can be so heartless,
Confused with all of loves commotions.

I try to understand love,
Knowing  that it is just like a rose.
Realising it isn't always as pure as a dove,
But will eventually die as does a rose.

Never before have I felt such pain,
Never before have I felt so lost.
Once again my heart has been slain,
Now I know what love does cost.

Tormented by these dreams.
By these haunting nightmares,
Where nothing is what it seems.
In love and nobody cares.
