Where is this loneliness,

That you epitomize,

When in this simple expansive element,

Warmth is all I feel,

Like a blanket with room to spare,

And share this warmth I shall,

Yet to find another willing,

Is a potent task itself,

Others flee and some might hide,

Many fear what I embrace,

Embrace as it envelopes the self,

Thicker than water, than blood,

What can you hope to offer,

Greater than this sheath,

Into which I steel myself,

Granting all the veils I need,

Allowing for the simplicity,

To be one of a kind,

When the world looks upon the rare,

As if a failed design,

Unique is not a word that the masses can enjoy,

Seeing their own pattern as cut and shapes employ,

Who is to say that a change,

Could not be for the better,

Seeking a path through to time,

Raging through the weather,

And so what if it is that I embrace what covers me,

When it takes the stuff that I'm made of to accept what envelopes,

Fear is not the thing to cling when a power finds its home,

Exempt the age and faux-pas stage for little more than peace,

As I comfort in this vast clockwork,

I see it stings your heart,

Drawing out fearful instincts,

Which yearn to run and hide,

Though I offer only a single bit of consoling conversation,

Taking to heart your ache and fear as plain as day,

Granting only that you and I are entire breed apart,

Show only that you shall obtain tolerance in doses.
