Her eyes his thick frame trace in smiles wide,

Glorified his image in her pale heart,

She feigns ignorance of his sickest pride,

And clings his arm in fear he will discard.

I watch afar and dream of her caress,

Her image emblazoned within my soul,

Despite attempt I find little success,

Her smile kind yet only him barè s hold.

His eyes of hands wander about the mess,

Not a dame without his effort tamè d,

Despite the count his deeds without onus,

Debris reside of hearts his boots crushè d.

Someday I prey to take her from his vice,

I hopè d what wound her heart be concise.

Daemion this is the second of three sonnets written for my high school english class... it speaks of three characters; first, the girl: she loves the boy and clings to him... why? maybe she fears rejection or abandonment, her heart is ill (pale=sick) from her past... the second character is the protagonist: he loves the girl, but clearly from afar... the two are friends, she smils at him, they likely talk and get along... but she has only love for the boy... the third character is the boy: long story short, he's been around the playground, and the fact he has her as his girlfriend doesnt stop him from doing this... yet she either is ignorant or just pretends to be ignorant of it... the end is the protagonist wishing to save her from his, and he hopes that the pain from him heals quickly...
