A Moment in Time |
One Last Smile
It was a cold Saturday morning
The wind blowing across her lovely face
I think back to that very day
And pretend to hold her in my arms
Something seemed a little different that day
Maybe the way she did her hair
Or the way her make-up semeed
TO cover every detail upon her face
Driving down that same street
I'll never forget
The wind streaming acorss her
Ever so pretty face
Maybe it was the weather
Or the way he mother said good-bye
Or the way she blew a kiss to her father
Maybe that was what deiced her fate
Cause on that cold Saturday morning
Nothing would ever be the same
Her body lying face down
Upon the hard ground
My hands slwoly slid over her soft skin
Ever so lightyly
As if she could feel my skin
Against hers
But she couldn't
And I knew it
I took her hand into mine
For the very last time
Nothing could change
The fate in which the car deiced
Nothing could change
For this was the last she made
