He and His Band of Love

Views (20) Passion Created on 8-6-07 Flag
Standing completely still with great discipline in a perfect formation,
On a green field with white, orange, and yellow lines.
This even, I shall strive to unravel.
He is standing,
Waiting for the command to begin the Bach chorale.
The command finally comes.
This family,
The family of whom he loves so dearly,
Plays the chorale magnificently.
They were then commanded to stand in their original positions.

He waits to hear the command to begin the show.
As he is waiting, he begins to think.
He is thinking of the past, present, and future.
In the past,
He striv'd through the hardship and discipline.
In the present,
He is magnificent and focus'd on this once in a life time opportunity,
An opportunity of which he is utterly flatter'd.
In the future,
He hopes the best for himself and his band of love.
He has work'd,
For what seem'd like a life time,
To come where he is now,
And please many.
He knows that if he shall do something wrong in this performance,
Many will be disappointed,
And he will never forgive himself.

He hears the first "dut."
The "duts" finish and he steps off in time.
He and his band of love march with Control.
During the transition between the first and second movement,
His mouth is dry because of his adrenaline.
He steps off in time.
He and his band of love march with easy going Breath.
At the end, he and his section of love do brief trills,
And they march with Tension.
He stands for ten beats at the end,
He takes off with Chaos with the help of adrenaline.
He and his band of love freeze in erratic positions.
They all march elegantly with the Release of their Tension and Chaos.
He and his band of love briefly stop.
They then continue to march with 100% Structure.
They all reach the end of the show.
They all hold their last eight count note and bring their horns down massively.

They are all breathing heavily with cold tears running down their faces.
The command was given to clear the field with professional style.
Behind the scenes, everyone was crying with tears of love and joy.
Even he, the one who thought so much before the show, began to cry.
He hugg'd those he knew and did not know;
For they are his band of love.
With their Control, Breath, Tension, Chaos, Release, and Structure,
They are one.

-Note to Reader:  Control, Breath, Tension, Chaos, Release, and Structure were the movements of our show that year.  The show was called Performing Inside and Out.-
