Compliments

Views (205) Joy Created on 3-11-07 Flag
Every day you hear that you're beautiful,
Every day you hear that you're fine;
You hear everyone's compliments,
Everyone's but mine.

You never hear me tell you,
That you're my symbol of elegance;
Or that I worship your grace,
In awestruck reverence.

I could tell you that you're perfect,
That you'r the other half of me;
But why should I make obvious
What everyone can see?

You know that you're attractive,
You know that you turn heads;
And when it comes to gorgeous,
You know that you're drop dead.

So why should I tell you things,
That you always hear?
I've told you you're my number one,
And that I hold you dear...

Dear to my heart,
As close to me as my skin;
God says not to idolize you,
But it's worth committing the sin.

If you really want me to say it,
This is as simple as it gets,
You're my angel, flat-out,
And that's the end of it.
