She came into my class,
And I swear - I didn't notice,
As dum6 as it sounds, it's true...
8ut one day, she spoke up
And I looked across the room,
And 6elieve me, I was amazed-
To see such a 6eautiful girl,
Who had gone unnoticed until this day.
Oh, how I wanted to talk to her,
There were so many questions,
So many facts-
Damn, it was overwhelming.
I don't even know if she was availa6le
Or not, I had too much on my mind to ask.
So, a few months went 6y
And we were no more than accquaintances,
Until the day that we spoke again.
I realized how much she'd 6een through in life-
How much pain she'd endured.
I didn't want that, for such a wonderful girl...
So I got involved,
And in a day's time,
We've shared nine months worth of friendship-
And she's made me happy once more.
Perhaps we can take this to another level,
Maybe we can step it up-
I guess that only time will tell
What will 6ecome of me,
And The New Girl,
Who 6elieves that 6ooks are 6etter than 6oys.

Books can be better than boys. In a romance novel, you can get so many emotions that a boy could not always give you. This is a VERY sweet poem. It's awesome that it's left open for so many people to relate to. |
