Pangea
We are all of one body-
At birth, we are all innocent,
We are all colorblind,
We are all aetheist and ignorant.
Yet, as we grow - we grow apart,
And seperate into different groups.
We begin to discriminate and prejudge
As we start to see the differences that set us apart.
We started as one, then we drifted -
Much like the continents did...
Civilization is the world;
The continents are races,
For which the oceans serve as seperation...
The volcanoes are the uprisings in which we fight for liberty;
The mountains are individuals -
Protruding from the earth, above the rest of the land;
Tectonic plates are the fads, forever shifting;
The glaciers and icebergs symbolize the cold-hearted, the fiends,
Secluded from the rest of us in the waters of seperation.
The countries are the ethnic groups,
Which fight daily battles;
The states are the standards, the stereotypes;
Each city is a person, inside a county - a click;
And the neighborhoods from whence we've come
Are our beating hearts...
Our hearts that continue to drift apart over time.
At birth, we are all innocent,
We are all colorblind,
We are all aetheist and ignorant.
Yet, as we grow - we grow apart,
And seperate into different groups.
We begin to discriminate and prejudge
As we start to see the differences that set us apart.
We started as one, then we drifted -
Much like the continents did...
Civilization is the world;
The continents are races,
For which the oceans serve as seperation...
The volcanoes are the uprisings in which we fight for liberty;
The mountains are individuals -
Protruding from the earth, above the rest of the land;
Tectonic plates are the fads, forever shifting;
The glaciers and icebergs symbolize the cold-hearted, the fiends,
Secluded from the rest of us in the waters of seperation.
The countries are the ethnic groups,
Which fight daily battles;
The states are the standards, the stereotypes;
Each city is a person, inside a county - a click;
And the neighborhoods from whence we've come
Are our beating hearts...
Our hearts that continue to drift apart over time.
