My dreams scatter upon the wind

As I step out into the briskness of night

Leaving the memories of you behind

Under the streetlamp’s jaundice light

Gravity’s force begins to intensify

To laden each broken step I trod

The air thickened by your icy betrayal

And the callousness of your facade

Absently feeling the sting of a kiss

Your mouth tattooed upon my lips

Tears begin to trail down the cheeks

Marked by the trace of your fingertips

Life beyond you slowly comes into view

Shoes greet the cement stairs beneath my feet

The sullen tune of my keys jingle into a locked gaze

Reaching 360° the mission now complete
