Reality Sleeps Our Dream

Distance fades into the horizon of this dream we share
Reality falls away as time surrenders its dominion
Falling together oblivious to any other thought or care
Lost within the folds of the world which we envision
Our urgency pours vividly into the plot we devise
This need to be understood that is somehow fulfilled
Bound by our weaknesses yet liberated through our ties
Strengthening the structure of the prototype we build
A place of perfection where reality is synthetic
Our sanctuary of respite sheltering us from the actual
Where all of wild and whispering unite soulfully poetic
Here where these feelings are all that is natural
Holding fast to these moments that keep us as one
Before the hands of time regain their force
Defying the certain approach of an envious sun
Never letting it dissuade us from our fated course
