Romeo's Solace |
Song Of Death and Resurrection
A hush befalls the song of night
Chaotically ripping through the rhythm with its silence
A whisper of silk crashing about my feet
A touch that softens the defenses
Shaped by this self created guardian
A solitary breath hanging on a current of midair
All that delays my transpiring surrender
The last will of my once titanium resistance
Slips away into the penetration of gazing eyes
Soaring into the vastness of nothing and everything
Wicked reckless abandonment of reason
For a will of force greater than its own consequence
Urgent in the release of this destined transcendence
Moving from subtle awareness to profound consumption
The tautly drawn cord of anticipation snaps
Sending me reeling into a burst of flame and smoke
Death and recreation built into the passing of seconds
As I reemerge a lyric sung in predawn’s wake
