Somewhere through the sleepless madness
You heard the silence of my screams
My unlikely savior due to you I have less
Demons to fight off as I dream
You broke the ties that cut and bound me
To the hallucinations and chains of my past
Where tears had stained the hours empty
You replaced them a purpose to laugh
So play for me your priceless visions
And give me the reasons to hold
Some hope for escape from this desolate prison
A song to sooth my weary soul
“Wingless angel you must understand,” you say
As you throw me a kiss
I serve for no more than a short term stayMy work is a temporal fix”
But between the lines of the verses you rhyme
My heart sees clear to the truth
That the love we share I shall carry through time
Conquering our enemies of age and youth
