Together the word itself rolls over my tongue
With all three syllables bittersweet
My entire body longs to define it, my soul pleads it’s reality
And in these moments I know nothing of patience
As torment captures each breath that whispers through the
Trembling of my lips
In sleep I encounter my only relief,
As it’s hands spread out reaching across the night
Closing the geographical distance that separates us
Connecting spiritually one kindred heart to another
And then at last you are with me finally we are as one
One sigh exhaled to transform to intake of breath
And passed along continuously to the rhythm of it’s cycle
The interchanging the internal exchange
Lips brushing upon flesh, drinking in the exquisiteness
Of the sensation
I awake to the afterglow of sunshine and my mouth refusing
To acknowledge realities irony remains smiling
