In the darkness my heart beats
Through this hollowness you left behind
And these tears are evidence of your denial
The unspoken understanding that leaves me torn in two
The knowledge that for you
It's nothing more than an entertaining distraction
What will become of my heart’s remains?
The pieces of the puzzle descend improperly
Their elements decline to form a solution
Since you are the creator
I cannot manipulate the outcome
Helpless through this journey
I cannot adjust its destination
Impossible to avoid
I break to the pressure that it forces
A love unreciprocated
So falls blindly to its own misfortune
There is no blame, only an ill-fated ending
Our roles have been set
The same force that persuades you to control me
Demands me to submit
My residual strength resists the inevitable consequence
Defenseless, Disillusioned, Defeated I linger ...
Here in the threshold of my approaching devastation

Yep...it's so difficult when you feel your heart being carried off by someone who neither notices nor cares that it fell in with their groceries. Life sucks. haha. |
