Her Blue Eyes Fade To Gray

 Her blonde hair blows across her face,
her world's falling apart.. she feels out of place.
For so long she thought she was happy,
but now she realizes there's more to it than what everyone else sees.
Faking that smile for so long,
she convinced herself nothing was wrong.
Now she sits in silence and is able to notice everything's still the same,
fooling herself - she's to blame.
Her eyes no longer produce tears,
she no longer posesses fears.
It's as if someone else has taken her place,
constantly flashing that smile across her face.
There's a part of her left, hidden away,
in the dark where she will stay.
Waiting for that hand to reach into the slight ray of light,
waiting for someone to yank her from this never ending fight.
Her blue eyes fade to gray,
her heart feels like it's starting to decay.
She feels her soul start to depart,
alone she sits, waiting..waiting for her happiness to start.
