You promised me you'd stay forever
But forever to you is not what it is to me
Coz you walked out my door
You didn't look back, or even say goodbye
The last time we parted, you smiled
You said, "I love you."
The next thing you're gone!
How can you call that forever?
You promised me you'd stay forever
But forever is not ours to take
It's a gift from 'The One' ... through grace.
Our time is already chosen
In a life we have not yet lived...
God's way of saying, "Live for today"
Coz tomorrow may not ever come.
Only God can speak of forever
...
Only He knows of tomorrow.
