Again

I walk, across the street

Can barely move my feet

I hear, my mother call my name

My heart constricts with pain

Like, the time I walked away

I left my love astray

I miss, the times we spent together

As the birds of a feather

We, were so very much the same

 But nothing of it ever came

It seemed, in life to be our lot

Our wishes come true did not

Commitment, not love must be the key

As past the pain we see

Now, as we look beyond the rain

Again close friendship we attain
