My heart was abandoned
And my soul was confused
There appeared to be no hope
Then there was you.
My life’s path was uncertain
All my choices seemed grim
I began to drift aimlessly
Then there was you.
The love I did have, dwindled
Lost in it’s own heartless abyss
Cruel emotions clouded my thoughts
Then there was you.
At times I wanted to escape
Leave this ruthless life behind
Feeling I had nothing left
Then there was you.
