Blind Faith

Views (134) Other Created on 1-27-07 Flag

As the light of day dwindles slowly away,
Giving itself to the distant isolation of darkness.
Dreams that once seemed within our grasp,
Are now beyond any reasonable hold.

Finding comfort is now only an indulgence, a luxury,
One whose significance has becomes unimportant.
Desires once in our hearts have all but vanished,
Leaving it nothing but an empty, fragile shell.

An unnatural silence overtakes completely,
Making our heads numb with its deafening blow.
The words that we express feel foul on our lips,
Wounding our souls with their malicious tone.

Things we’ve seen rapidly transform into hallucinations,
Testing our faith, love and devotion to the very threshold.
Fooling us to believing into what is untrue,
Leaving nothing, except for our blind faith.
