Whatever Happened?
Whatever happened to the good ol’ days, When your
biggest worry was getting dessert and doing your homework
so you could go outside and play. Whatever happened to thinking
all people ware good and innocent, whatever happened?
Whatever happened to your first kiss? Whatever happened to your
first bruise, whatever happened to those summer days that seemed
to go by in a blaze whatever happened to riding your bike with your
friends getting into adventures and jumping in the lake.
We grew up to fast, now dwelling on the past, wish I had it back,
before my innocence was crippled, before my childhood stripped away
right before my eyes. Before I learned that people ware capable of
evil things, before I witnessed death and birth, before the world
disappointed me with its cruelty, Wish, I was back in that state of mind
thats when things ware fine,

You know.. I think about this all the time. Me and my brother and my cousins sit around playing drinking games talking about all the things we did as kids. like playing with matchbox cars, building forts.. then we get all silly and start acting like kids. It's fun... we all laugh until our stomachs hurt... then we watch the video the next day and laugh some more.. it's great! |

Wow..... This is amazing. I've often said how much I wish we could go back to the world where we all ran around with puple mustaches from grape koolade, and where we fought over which power ranger we would be. (I call yellow! lol) |

Wow!! This is my favorite piece of yours so far. Do you know about slam poetry? Seriously, I wanna know. Because this sounds like something which would be good performed on stage in that meter and cadence. Of course, its got the element of being a great piece to read off of a screen or sheet of paper too. |
