A soldiers dream alone

Views (144) Tragedy Created on 2-1-08 Flag

Guns blazing

as the sun begins to rise

dawn has set

fear and sorrow fill their eyes

lying with the dead

freinds and fellows alike

stench all around

the sirens and screams the only sound

Letters home,

this thy only comfort

cowardism an opption

but think, what if you were caught?

Music and songs

always in thought

memories of home

still the bullets fly

We are men

and men are we

death overpowers

can no one see

The young and old

lay lifelessly in the trench

no mans land

the horror that will consume

Is the bullet his ticket out

his one way home

all he wants is his family

a soldiers dream alone
