I Want

I want you to give me back my heart.

You know the one you tore apart.

I want you to give me back my tears.

You know the ones that I lost when you brought my biggest fears.

I want you to tell me why you lied.

You know when you tossed my heart aside.

I want you to tell me we’re really done.

You know so I can wait for the “one.”

I want you to see how much you made me cry.

You know those two weeks I kept asking myself, “why?”

I want you to see how much you made me feel alone.

You know when I don’t get to talk to you anymore on the phone.

I want you to know that I don’t know if I still want you.

You know if you ever do.

I want you to know that I still love you.

You know how I always do.

But I guess it really doesn’t matter what I want. You’ve made that pretty clear.
