The Room With Torn Walls

How can I laugh in these moments?
why can't I touch the horizon?
who do you think of in this silence?

no one,I shiver from this breeze.

I wish so much to be
the child I used to be
The world was so welcoming
from down there to me

What do you want with this time?
Can this really help you smile?
knowing you can't help but lie

as you laugh and say you are fine

I remember all the rest
The dialouge borken
by a shatering of glass
I act like I have spoken

words hoped kept secret
sometimes hurt as that
very same child listens
from the edges of
the room with torn walls
