Broken Thoughts

how could he have left someone that beautiful for an ugly like me?

how can he say "i love you" so carefree?

how can he say it . . . to me?

many thoughts run through my head daily

that one the most

i try to block it out

but

it just won't go

many times have i remembered the things we've done then i think back to her face and wonder. . .

has he ever seen her face instead of mine?

trying to block out that thought is that hardest thing to do

yet he tells me he never regreted it

how can someone feel that way. . .
