Heart Shaped In Acid

Your fingers traced in outline, a heart shaped constellation. I held my breath, as you pressed your lips against mine. Cracked, was the mask they wore. I brought my touch so close. Your flesh, adorned of scents so poetic, it lingers, nostalgic to remain, forever remembered a memory; this woe, a malady, through windows of this face, I bleed. In it's reflection the veil, lifted, what is left for all to redeem. I alleviated; stained of rose colored laces, strewn upon my neck, as petals drift across the sky; leave the air for me, for you, glamor swathed; beautified. This masquerade, to which I was, an invitation bestowed. All beatitude, pearls entwined as eyes will fall to greet the floor. Echoes will resound again to regain, twists of delirium. Flashing hallways which end nowhere; dimmed in strobe lit rooms abandoned. All that remains, in this, the ghost you left behind; for me to find; In silence swaying to your silhouette, I'll pass right through you. Wrapped, in arms unknown; so frail, coiling at my throat, like ivy climbs above. Will you kiss me one last time, before I fade, through waking doors. Shut the blinds, please leave the world outside; the light, my sight it binds to gaze at all who fallen, rise. Leaves me never to be found; if only to be seen, unrecognized. I pass right through, lover tell me, will you...too?
