Is it a Dream?

I fell in love one night

woke up the next morning...

felt for the hands

that had held me tight 

But 

it was just a dream...

I found my love...

the one for me

I woke up...

understanding that my love wasn't meant to be

Because 

it was just a dream

I was caught up in a fairytale...

with a happy ending

I was shaken awake

with my love so unreal

I found my knight in shining armor...

he held me tight

kept me safe

and this time

i was so sure....

that it was real 

but it came to an end

I wallowed in despair...

because when i thought i found love

the disappointment made me scream

every boy i came across

had to go....or never loved me

it was just a dream

this boy passed by

i thought i would never find someone like him

the one for me

my prince charming

he came into my life and swept me off my feet

it was real

after all that heartbreak.hurt.and pain
