Just Say the Word

This is my last shout out to the world.

I love you and I always will.

I promised you I only wanted you to be happy.

I wanted you to be sure of this.

But now my heart is housing fear and doubt.

Now my head is clouded, my eyes are blurred.

I'm not hurting, no, more just fearful.

That mayhap, I've taken the wrong turn again.

That maybe I've done something horribly wrong.

Maybe... instead of making you happier.

I'm creating discomfort, and making it harder for you.

I won't take back what I said, I meant every word.

But I will hide my feelings, so that you can live your life.

I won't become a burden, nor will I die inside.

Like all those times before, when I thought it was love.

Now I see that love, is when you'd do anything.

Stop for nothing, to see that person you love.

To live their life happily, to not be unsure any longer.

I won't cry, I will make this decision on my own.

So you know that it wasn't your fault.

I will do it with all of my love, and I will know that I made you happy.

Just that makes it worth everything to me.

All you have to do is say the word.

And I can fade away, not into oblivion.

But into memory, but this memory will always be here for you.

A phone call away, to talk and comfort.

After housing all these doubts and insecurities.

I've finally found something worth pursuing in this life.

Your happiness, and assuring you know only that.

So baby, all you have to do is say the word.

And I will tear away any wall, or obstacle in your way.

So that I can see you live like you deserve to live.
