As If I Actually Belong

Euphoria flows through my body,

the heady scent surrounding me, 

makes me feel like I'm floating on a cloud.

So soft, so caring,

so unlike the tragic abusive real world.

I run away to be here when all is going wrong.

I come here to put my mind at ease when my sanity is on trial.

My small secluded meadow hidden amongst tall trees.

Hidden away from prying eyes that wish to harm me.

When I'm here all is perfect all is fine,

my mind drifts away and i am able to be happy.

I am able to escape my broken heart and my abusive father.

Here I'd be happy to stay and find my place in the universe.

To find the meaning of love, and to find the cure for hate.

My place of solitude filling my body and permeating my soul.

To make me feel as if I finally belong.
