Sorrowful Tide

Valuable possessions, money, and the finest foods.

All of it means naught, if you are not by my side.

I've been blinded by my obsessions.

Unaware that the one that truly means something.

Has been standing there all along.

Like a mirror you reflect away the light of my petty obsession.

Allowing me to see you in all of your splendor.

So much time wasted i could have spent with you.

Now i fear i may be to late.

For you have moved farther down the road of life.

While i am still here stuck behind this tide. 

Broken beyond repair, lost without reason.

Is that you in the distance?

I fear i may never catch up.

Am i now condemned to a torturous life.

Where i can see a happy life with you.

Taunting me as i make my way through this sorrowful tide.

It's a daunting task, that will push my determination.

Test my love and make me prove myself.

I will push my way through this tide.

Yet time it will take for it is strong.

Trying to pull me away from you.

Yet in the end i shall prevail.

For i will not allow myself to perish forsaken and alone. 

You shall see, that my love can overcome.

The most daunting and burdensome obstacles.
