My Downfall

Dad where were you when I needed you the most
Unlike the other kids at school I can not boast about you
Because I am ashamed of you, and what you've become

You were suppose to be there for me, like a real father
But all you can think about is your God, but what about me
You've abandon me and thinks its ok, but its not

You expect me to just understand what your doing to me
But I don’t
What's wrong with you I thought you love me

If you tell me that now I will not believe you
I have grown more then you can imagine
I have taken the blindfold from my eyes

I see everything you’ve done to me
Don’t try to blame it on anyone else
You need to be a man about it and face the truth

You've destroyed me and my dreams of you and me
I don’t believe a word you say to me anymore
So its best you don’t say anything to me

But I remember when I was a little girl
I tried to do everything like you
I still cant believe what you're putting me through

But what I don’t understand
Is that I still worship you
I don’t know why I love you
As much as I do, when you don't deserve any of my love
