Betrayed

Air is pulled out of my lungs.

Your betrayal hits me hard.

Falling to the ground with tears in my eyes.

I ask you why? Expecting an answer.

Turning your head you refuse to answer.

A life fighting together and, I don’t even get a reason why.

Tears are rolling down my cheeks.

Knowing now that our love means nothing, meant nothing.

I turn away ashamed to have loved you.

As you raise your sword for the final blow.

You still mange to try and deceive me.

“I love you” the final words I hear.

The final thing I see is your single cold tear.

Then everything stops.

I fall into everlasting peace.

Waiting for the day you come to join me.
