You expect me to live a life thats wonderful and fair,
But how could that be when you were never there?
You say I sleep around like I don't even care,
But hell whats that matter it's because you were never there.
I try to make you happy and proud that I am here,
But everytime I do I just shred another tear.
The times when I needed you, When I flood in fear,
I would always look back hoping you were near,
But everytime I do you were never even there.
When times you begin to wonder why I act
the way I do it's because I need attention,
and your love to.
So in the future when you need me to care,
Trust me I'll always remember that you were never there!
