Finding TRUE Love

I've been in love a time or two…

I know the shit it puts us through!

I want so bad to find true love…

You know, that one special person sent from above?!

I'm looking for the one that will always treat me right,

Someone I can come home to each and every night!

They say that your friends and family will be there till the end,

But sometimes I need more then family, I want more than just a friend!

I want someone to love me, to be there through it all…

I need someone to care, to catch me when I fall!

I want someone to love me, everyday for all of my life…

I'm looking for a family, to be someone's wife!

I keep telling myself, stop falling so damn fast…

But I want someone here with me, I need something that will last!

When you love someone, you should be happy , you should never feel too sad…

So why ain't love that easy, why does it have to hurt so bad?

To stay happy, I surround myself with familiar faces…

I need to stop looking for love, I'm looking in all of the wrong places!

My mother always told me, if its meant to be it will be,

So I guess, I'll have to sit and watch, I guess I'll let that love find me!

One day I will have the love I've been looking for, so long…

You know, the kind you hear about, in most love songs?!

Someday I'll be happy and my search will finally end,

That will be the day that I find true love, the day I find my real best friend!
