Hello Darkness

Drifting dreams shifting into shapeless forms in the sky

The clouds sift through my fingertips just like my life slips through the days

The shadow that blends with the shade as the sun falls behind a cloud

Losing sight of the outline, the outline of who I am

Finding nothing in the sand as I seek out the treasure that's inside

You told me you'd be there just as the waves beat against the shore

As the sun would set and the rain would always come

Now Just as the night brought the darkness

So did the loss of you as it stole my hope away
