The Definition of Mad Sex

Inquiry of Mona Lisa

My name is Domini Cepris.  I, not to long ago, had a conversation with a legendary soul, that touched mine…but in the same innocence that I found her, I lost her.  So all I have left is this, our conversation.  And I wish to share it with the world.

He asked:

As a modern day Mona Lisa
One must question, smile or frown
Are you sad or happy
Are you content or searching

Both solutions acceptable, yet not
For one must have one, not both
Though the simple choice
You cannot have your way

For all decisions are not ours
But those made by everyone else
And for that, not you, but everyone else
Will wonder, are you content
...or searching

She responded:

Wearing a mask of happiness
But merely only content
With the outcomes of today
And searching, always searching,
For the path to true happiness...
That path which can lead
To a place without nightly tears
That will bring peace to a weary soul.

He returned:

Why wear a mask of happiness
For all to see
When you can have that "one"
That you need no mask

Though the search for them
Would be great and hard
Don't you think the outcome
Makes them worth it

She replied:

I thought I had found the one
Who I had searched for
But that only brought pain
And now the mask has returned…

Happiness still is in hiding…
It escapes into the shadows…

Bearing my face to the world
As it rightly and truly is
Would be a blessing
And I am waiting for the one
Who will rid me of my mask

He responded:

The one you wait for, waits too
For they are not sure of your emotion
Your mask, they'd remove
But only at your ready

The eyes with which you gaze upon him
Melt his inner self
But are those eyes for him
Or just another guise, hiding the real you

Your answer, he waits for
Whether your motives good or not
And your sacrifice for a blessing
To have your mask to fade away

She returned:

You intrigue me, Domini
But the current situation is not right
Strings are attached on both sides…
I sought out someone else
In my long quest for happiness
But can he remove my mask?
Or should I look… elsewhere?

I cannot say that emotions are not present

He spoke back:

You too Mona Lisa, intrigue me
Yet you do not speak forward
But you speak broadly, to confuse
Though...to confuse whom?

I pray it is not you, but me that is
For your face need not be hidden by more
That face for which strings be broken
A face which sends the sky green with envy

She responded for the last time:

If you have intended to flatter
Then you have achieved your goal
Unless the goal lies beyond flattery?

Confusing speech is simply part
Of the consequences that follow
Broken hearts and shattered dreams
To shield against further damage of the soul
