I drag this across my thigh
can you wonder why?
I tie this in a knot
because i couldnt stop that thought
of me, of you
now I slit my skin in two
I swallow these down
but make no sound
I heat this over a lighter
because I dont believe in anything higher
I scream
but fail to find the seam
of my reality
and what could be
I circle these padded walls
and try to escape theyre calls
I'm trapped here for eternity
to always wonder about what could be
and I cry
because i cant stop wondering "why?"
can you wonder why?
