i was hurt

long ago

by someone i loved

the scar he made

still hasnt heeled

and i bleed everyday

i say im fine

i say im okay

when i know

deep down

im not happy

and i never will be

until i find someone

who can hold me

without breaking me

i cry more than others

practically everyday

my room is my sanctuary

but i know im not safe

im scared and depressed

and at one point i tried to take my life

it was a mistake but i dont regret it

and i never will

i cover my wound

and make sure to smile

but i know

its all a lie

so until the day i find that someone
