Terrified of what’s inside
Terrified of what it hides
Terrified of so many things
But I’m not afraid to die
Terrified of all these lies
And what may lie behind
Why can’t you look me in eyes
What are you trying to hide
Terrified of the look in your eyes
Why must you give up on life
Please tell me that
You don’t want to die
Terrified of the look on your face
It tells me you want to die in haste
But I know you can rise up in grace
Because ending your life now would be such a waste
Terrified of this life
But maybe it holds a surprise
One thing I’m not afraid of
Is the love it holds inside
Terrified I’ll die unhappy
Terrified that I will die
Before I realize
That I am truly happy
Terrified of what’s inside
Terrified of what it hides
Terrified of so many things
