never slow down

because when you do

you might find yourself

without a clue

 

never take a trip

to a country you want to see

because it might rain the whole time

or there might be a sunami

 

never  make friends

because they might be trouble

if you want to be happy

stay in a bubble 

 

never even answer

when he says hello

because he might ask you out

and then be a no show

 

never give up your heart

and never ever commit

they wont love you back 

and unrequited love will destroy it

 

this is what she said

she never took a chance

and it paid off

if you just took a glance

 

when you looked you saw

shed never broken her heart

or been rejected or hurt

yes it seemed she was smart

 

but if you looked deeper

you saw she was cursed

shed never loved anyone

and that was much worse

deadpoet while i was reading it i was going to say you have to take a chance to feel true happiness and then got to the bottom and realized that was the point of the poem basically. nice concept
