The flight of the shredded butterfly
A light touch on the wings of this delicate breed, and it will no longer fly, thrive or feed.
Some humans, not insects, can be this way, Once off a path, then endlessly astray.
Today out of nowhere from the corner of my eye, I saw shredded and stripped brown wings struggling to fly.
With the wisp of a quite remarkable nerve, this creature beat odds, on God's reserve.
This was a butterfly with something to prove, in a case where other creatures refuse to move.
We could take a lesson , You and I, from the flight of the shredded butterfly
progress is never easy.
