ledge of life |
a home not just a house
Her life was never easy
She never got the good grades her parents wanted
She never did anything wrong
When ever she did anything it was never good enough
she never got the respect she needed
The respect she deserved
She was just the second born
Always just second best
When she did good it was never good enough for them
Every day she walked around with her head held low
When she showed her parents something she was proud of
they just told her what she could have done better
She never felt like she fit in
Her house was never a home
A home is were they are proud of what you do
A house is just were you lay you head at night
One day she just told her this is not where I belong
She packed up and left
With her head held high
Looking for a home were they would be proud of her
She could lay her head at night to lay a home not just a house
She never wondered if they missed her
She never missed them
She never got the good grades her parents wanted
She never did anything wrong
When ever she did anything it was never good enough
she never got the respect she needed
The respect she deserved
She was just the second born
Always just second best
When she did good it was never good enough for them
Every day she walked around with her head held low
When she showed her parents something she was proud of
they just told her what she could have done better
She never felt like she fit in
Her house was never a home
A home is were they are proud of what you do
A house is just were you lay you head at night
One day she just told her this is not where I belong
She packed up and left
With her head held high
Looking for a home were they would be proud of her
She could lay her head at night to lay a home not just a house
She never wondered if they missed her
She never missed them

I don't understand why you would have a - on this poem, it's a good one. describes stuff like real life, like what some teens really do go through, the difference between a home, and a house. I like it |
