Her smile is pained,
her eyes red and teary.
She's standing beside you
and telling you "it'll be alright"
although she doesn't belive it herself.
She wonders what she did
to deserve this,
to have to feel this hurt everyday.
She doesn't think anybody cares
enough to look deeper and see
that she's not okay
and maybe never will be.
She doesn't think anybody cares
enough to just let her cry
while they comfort her.
The girl standing next to you is wrong.
There is someone who cares
and she's finally realizing
that person
is
YOU.
