put on the mascara, the heavy eyeliner.
put on the 'pretty in punk' lip gloss.
put on the fake smile to everyone but you.
pull on the skin tight pants.
pull on the knee-high sox.
pull on the elbow-length arm sox to hide the scars from the world.
keep the jacket sleeves down.
keep the shorts longer than your theighs.
keep the happy additude in place to keep others from seeing the real you.
hide all the secrets.
hide all the thoughts.
hide all the tears you have cried to keep your friends happy.
make sure they cant see you breaking down.
make sure they dont know your pain.
make sure they have to say they dont know you anymore.
help them to walk away from you.
help them to quit caring.
help them to forget you.
say its helping everyone.
say its no big deal.
say its how you want and need it to be.
fool yourself into believing youre not important.
fool yourself into beliveing its just one more scar.
