That Little Girl

Oh Lord, her world spun off the floor,  Why would you let him hurt that little girl?  Her body trembled as he locked the door,  You let his cold touch make her mind swirl.  God you know no one can reach her mind,  You ask her a question, all you get is a NO.  Now all she wants is to leave her fear behind,  Tell her she can talk, she'll only say So.  Dear God I can't stand when she starts crying,  Why'd you let them hurt her all over again?  You know I can't stand having to lie,  But she says hate is an even bigger sin.  Lord you understand I can't help her at all,  She'll change the topic if I start that talk.  She claims tears soften the fall,  Yet I don't see how, when she lands on a rock.  So Jesus how does it feel to watch that little girl,  The one who lies and cries herself to sleep?  Do you remember how she used to spin and twirl,  When her spirit was free and the pain wasn't deep?  Just one more question Lord and it's a big one,  When her fear runs out what will she face him and say?  "She will say", came a still voice, "It's over, I'm done."  And thanks to God that little girl will forgive him and walk away.  Darling Son I have not forgotten her,  For she was my little girl and I love her more than you do.  So if you will trust me Sir,  I'll promise you that her dreams will come true.
